Internet Relay Chat!

March 7th, 2011 by Simon in Development, Interesting Stuff

(click the image to go to a web-based IRC client!)

We created a channel on the freenode.net network in order to provide a platform for chatting. Feel free to log in and chat with other M.A.R.S. users! And maybe, occasionally one of us will be online, too.

So if you have a small problem which is not worth to be posted in the forum, if you want to spread some ideas, or just talk to other free-minded people, join us there! You can use the web-based client (click the image above) or use your own client like X-Chat or Pidgin.

Server: chat.freenode.net
Channel: #marsshooter

New Planets!

March 5th, 2011 by Simon in Funny Stuff, Interesting Stuff

I just created some new planets for M.A.R.S. using Blender and Gimp. Most of them will replace older ones, which don’t fit to the style anymore. It’s not in SVN yet, but they will be in 0.7!

Hope you like them :D

WindowsATI

(Windows7 users with ATI may be used to this version of M.A.R.S.)

Starting the mars.exe opens up a black command prompt with nothing in it besides a blinking dash. Nothing else happens.
